Since 1999, Physicians' House Calls has demonstrated an ability to reduce emergency room transport and hospital admission rates by providing physicians to deliver high quality comprehensive, at home medical services. We have gathered data (cost study) which indicates that 27% to 33% of our visits are in place of either emergency visits or hospital stays. Our program is unique in it's exclusive use of physicians to provide bedside services.

Services: We have been bringing phlebotomy, ultrasound and imaging, electrocardiogram, CLIA approved tests and coordination of specialized services to the homebound population of central Maryland since our inception. We provide primary care services, or work in conjunction with existing primary care physicians who cannot reach their patients. Physicians' House Calls works in coordination with all home health agency providers and we utilize hospitals to facilitate in-patient care.

Our office has a highly developed phone and communication system to return messages in a timely manner. Our physicians are available via cell phone after hours, making our practice available by phone on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis. Our experience is that a physician's input is the best way to avoid unnecessary transport of the patient ( please note the March 2000 National House Call Day statement).
